What customers say?

“ Always a good service from the ladies in here. A fair price for fish and chips considering. Had a large cod, which seemed a little smaller than I've had before but I'll put that down to just bring unlucky. Cup portion was amazing for a regular size and definately no complaints tyre. Will call in again as i have been for the last two years ”

“ Just called in as it was the nearest on our trip. Well impressed. Cod and chips, decent size portions. Lovely tasty food. No soggy greasy batter, and chips were best I've eated in ages. Well impressed. Will definitely come again. ”

“ The best chips. Wasnt keen on the curry sauce this time. Something has changed. Lovely clean shop and helpful staff. Parking can be an issue but worth the walk. ”

“ We stopped to get food on a long journey and this place is brilliant. They do excellent chips, not too salty, very nice fish, gluten free options, veggie options, really delicious and very helpful about timings and extras. It was busy, and I'm not surprised! ”

“ Car broke down opposite the shop after picking up our dinner. We were outside waiting for over 2 hours, as the shop shut the wonderful staff gave us another portion of chips to keep us going while waiting for the RAC in the freezing cold!! Delicious food and wonderful staff! ”

“ They turned up in a van as a pop up at Berrow Church, and we, and our neighbours, jumped at the chance for hot fish and chips at home. The guys, and lady, were lovely and chatty, and the food was delicious. The gluten free fish was exceptional and it's rare that my wife gets to enjoy fish that tasty. A very generous portion of chips, and the peas were exactly as you'd expect. Thank you for a lovely Thursday night meal ”

“ Saturday 6th August went in for a takeaway. The delivery driver was behind the counter cooking food for himself, no hat or apron on, then eating walking up and down the shop. Husband noticed he put fish in the fryer for an order, very unhygienic. The staff were not very welcoming and the language was awful. Our chips were swimming in grease the cardboard tray was brown and had a pool of oil in the corner when tipped to the side. ”

- Claire Williams -

“ Get a lovely meal from here once every couple of months. Brilliant battered cod - the only chip shop I’ve got it from which has managed to get rid of all bones! Always a massive portion of chips. Great friendly service, very welcoming. My Grandson has started getting burgers from here (cheese burger with lettuce and plain mayo! ((He tends to add other condiments when it arrives to the house))). He’s said the burgers are also 10/10. Absolutely gorgeous. The only thing I’d recommend to new-time-buyers is considering a smaller portion.. As the portions they give are absolutely massive. For me personally, I tend to have a ‘cone’ between me and my grandson.. That is while also buying other things. ”
